We live in a busy world. We rush between appointments, have a busy social life over the weekend, need to stay on top of our household and feel pressured to keep fit. You would think that with all the modern-day inventions life would have become more efficient. And we would have plenty of time to relax. But instead of giving us more leisure time, the efficiency has allowed time for more tasks to be added in a day. (As well as adding time to get distracted in a hyper-connected world). So we continue to be as busy as ever. To slow down we need to create some space in our life which we won’t fill with anything. So today I am sharing 10 ways to save time. Not time that is used for more productivity. But time to do absolutely nothing.

I have always had oily skin. As a teenager, I wasn’t happy about the shiny face I had, but with proper skincare, I managed to keep it under control. It wasn’t until my skin became ultra-dry a few years ago that I realised what a blessing in disguise oily skin can be. Oils keep the skin moisturised and youthful, which can prevent fine lines and wrinkles. So, if you are naturally blessed with oily skin, think of the positives here. It might be a little annoying now, but you will surely be glad for it in old age.

How to get out of a slump – 7 tips

Life isn’t experienced as a continuous high. Not for me and, most likely, not for you. One moment you might be cruising through life with an exercise routine, a pile of inspirational books and a fulfilling hobby. Then, before you know it, you are spending yet another weekend on the couch eating one too many cookies while watching one too many cat videos. Good habits are easy to break, especially in periods of transition or after a long holiday. For me, this year consisted of plenty of trips abroad, a new job and a long-anticipated house move. Needless to say, routines and good habits were not at the forefront of my mind. I want to get out of this funk of lazy downtime and start implementing some of my favourite practices again.
